So with no let up with the arctic conditions and several days housebound we were all relieved to hear of a snow plough in the next village Stoke Hammond. (you've probably heard all councills have run out of road salt)...And so it was yesterday the whole village turned out to celebrate our freedom from the freezing conditions (A lorry full of salt)! Aha, school tomorrow at last !! Rumour has it that half term is to be cancelled because of the 'impromtu' half term the bad weather has inflicted on us. How we wish for some warm weather... Surely somewhere it is hot and humid.........or just hot ?Tuesday, 17 February 2009

It is so hard to imagine the chaos that this snow made in the UK, while I'm over here and just hearing about it all over the net and the news... It sounds like I timed my trip right! I really just can't imagine how disruprtive it all was, did you really have to stay at home all this time??
Please forgive my husband's wicked sense of humour - of course the snow is long gone by now but I think he had a twinge of jealousy that our friends in the southern hemisphere were complaining about how hot they were...
Keep the pictures as evidence Ju they will probably declare a drought if we have a week of sunshine.
